Policy: Penalties
MISSED ADJUDICATOR ASSIGNMENTS
If an assigned Adjudicator does not attend two (2) of their assigned adjudications (reassigned adjudications do not count) they will be removed from the adjudicator pool for the current year.

If the offending Adjudicator is a Primary Adjudicator, their affiliated Theatre Company will provide a substitute Primary Adjudicator from their trained pool of Backup Adjudicators. If the Theatre Company cannot provide another Primary Adjudicator (eg. no remaining affiliated adjudicators are available) the NHTA will do their best to find adjudicators to cover the Theatre Companies remaining number of required adjudications.

The following year the offending Adjudicator may not return as a Primary Adjudicator for any theatre company, but may be a Backup Adjudicator.

LATE BALLOTS
Adjudicators who do not submit a ballot within 30 days of their adjudicated productions closing date, will have the following imposed:

  • "Late Status" is 30 days past due: an email reminder is sent to adjudicator and liaison
  • "Suspended Status" is 60 days past due: an email reminder note sent to adjudicator and liaison; adjudicator is removed from the adjudication pool for the current year but can be re-instated if the ballot is submitted within the next thirty (30) days.
  • "Expelled Status " is 90 days past due: the adjudicator is removed from the adjudication pool for the current year and cannot be reinstated for the current year. If the ballot is completed by the end of the NHTA calendar year the Adjudicator may be reinstated for the following year.

FAILURE TO DELIVER A BALLOT
If a ballot is not received by the end of the year NHTA calendar year, the offending Adjudicator shall be suspended for the following year from being either a Primary or Backup Adjudicator.
